VANCOUVER DESIGN STUDIO, PROPELLOR TAKES INSPIRATION (AND SOMETIMES MATERIALS) FROM THE GREAT OUTDOORS TO CREATE ITS ORIGINAL FIXTURES. At this year’s ADDRESS, Propellor introduced its newest addition in the Cumulus series, a light fixture with geometric shapes that give the illusion of a puffy cloud.
Propellor also showed Turn, a light fixture made with salvaged elm, maple, and oak trees from the streets of Vancouver. Propellor’s principal, Toby Barratt says that each tree has its own character with different colors, cracks, and fissures so every Turn light fixture is unique.
