Originally a hair salon home studio, this residence is now a bright and open two bedroom, two bathroom living space. Designed to be a short-term rental, the goal was to create a home that feels spacious, calm and functional. That meant finding a clever use for every nook and cranny such as tucking a bathroom under the stairway and converting a former stairwell into a kitchen pantry and library nook. For this decidedly modern and energetic young family, the location was right, the size was right, but the house as it was, was all wrong.
