SEATTLE, October 25, 2023 — GRAY Media, LLC, announces Silvia Tcherassi has joined the judging panel for the 7th Annual GRAY Awards.
Silvia Tcherassi, the Colombia-born founder and designer of her namesake fashion label, Silvia Tcherassi, is known for her uninhibited ability to achieve a natural type of elegance within her pieces. Her designs embody her experimental and artistic approach while accentuating her mastery of color and texture. Tcherassi's work maintains an acute attention to detail, though, with the art of "soft tailoring," each garment exudes her vision of "Effortless Elegance," also the title of her book published by Random House in 2009.
In 2004, Tcherassi was presented with one of France's highest honors: Officier de
L'Ordre Arts et Lettres (Officer of the Order of Arts and Letters) for her contributions to the fashion community. Her designs have been showcased during many of the top luxury fashion events in the world including both Paris and Milano fashion weeks. In 2008, Tcherassi announced the founding of her first extension brand, Tcherassi Hotels, alongside the opening of the Tcherassi Hotel + Spa in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia. The brand focuses on the conceptual development of hospitality and retail projects, and has become a beautiful melding of Tcherassi's two passions as she began her career as an interior designer.
Today, Tcherassi's collections include atelier, ready-to-wear, and accessories, and can be found in any of her 15 boutique locations across Europe, North America, and South America, as well as at numerous premier fashion retailers both in-store and online.
