Welcoming over 8,500 guests throughout the event’s three days, WestEdge Design Fair returned to Santa Monica with a swell of support and enthusiasm throughout the design community. Throughout the show, visitors enjoyed curated exhibits featuring some of the latest pieces within the markets of interior and product design. Here, we have a selection of some of the new and innovative products at the fair.
The Danver Cosmopolitan Kitchen
Danver Stainless Outdoor Kitchens, leaders in outdoor luxury stainless steel solutions, launched their highly-anticipated modular Cosmopolitan Kitchen at this year’s fair. An expansion of their existing Cosmopolitan collection, this modern and minimalist look was designed by celebrated international architect, designer, and creative director, Daniel Germani. “Devoid of unnecessary gestures, the Cosmopolitan Kitchen fits well in any project, small or large, urban or suburban, and the ‘see through’ nature and lightness of its lines is a departure from more traditional out door kitchen design,” said Germani.
Brown Jordan Outdoor Kitchens new powder-coated finish: Sapphire Blue
Sharing a co-branded booth with Danver Stainless Outdoor Kitchens, Brown Jordan Outdoor Kitchens shared their head-turning new powder-coated finish: Sapphire Blue, which was just introduced in October, 2023. Recognizing the demand for luxurious yet functional outdoor spaces, the hue is a statement representing tranquility and taking outdoor living to new and unexpected heights.
Timeless Collection by Ornare
Known for their impeccable standard in luxury custom designs, Brazilian cabinetry brand, Ornare, presented their new Timeless Collection at the fair. On display were pieces from the collection such as the Timeless Closet, Timeless Island, and Timeless Bookshelves, all boasting the brand’s quality construction and primary material of certified solid wood. The fresh collection plays on the senses using slatted doors to create a light and shadow effect, and mixing in materials such as glass and leather to ground the design.
Living by Design virtual showhouse
One stand-out panel discussion at this year’s fair was that of the behind-the-scenes conversation regarding the Living by Design virtual showhouse by Embello, the prominent influencer marketing agency within the interior design sector. Released this September, 2023, the agency brought together 12 carefully selected interior designers to participate in their second annual, completely virtual showhouse. Each invested designer (ranging from television sensation Bobby Berk to GRAY's very own 2021 GRAY Awards judge, and AD100 designer, Brigette Romanek) imagined individual spaces throughout the 4-bedroom, 3.5-bath simulated home virtually set in Brentwood, CA.
Vimare collection by Tidelli Outdoor Living
Another new release that instantly caught our eye was the graphic cabinet and rug collection, Vimare, by the Brazilian sustainable outdoor and accessories brand, Tidelli Outdoor Living. The pieces were designed by Matteo Cibic, a multimedia artist and designer known for his playful take on luxury living. Boasting a sustainable and highly customizable design, each item can be individualized from the exterior and tabletop materials, down to the knobs and rope detail.
Anthology collection by Keeler Brass Company
Reaching new heights in the area of customization, luxury hardware brand, Keeler Brass Company, debuted their ultimate bespoke hardware collection, Anothology, at their first appearance on the West Coast. With over 30,000 possible finish and texture combinations, designers are free to let their creativity run wild to curate custom looks in a fraction of the time typically necessary for custom hardware tailoring. The Anthology series is manufactured in the U.S. and designed entirely in-house by Keeler Brass Company.
Halcyon by Thomas Cooper Studio
Encompassing the art of illumination is Halcyon, the latest lighting fixture by the distinctive lighting and sculpture upstart, Thomas Cooper Studio, by L.A. design duo Jason Kai Cooper and Sally Thomas Cooper. The piece features individual cast bronze shells cupping clear crystal glass pendants and is hand crafted by artisans at Thomas Cooper Studio's East Los Angeles location. The tranquil piece is available in two configurations: round 24" and 55" settings intended for dining, and may also be commissioned in custom versions.
