Mansur Gavriel Unveils First-Ever Artist Collaboration with Marc Camille Chaimowicz

Just in time for spring comes this prime, pastel-laden collaboration between Mansur Gavriel and London-based artist Marc Camille Chaimowicz. The blue-chip brand, founded in 2012 by Rachel Mansur and Floriana Gavriel with an emphasis on Italian-made goods for men and women, recently released its spring/summer 2019 limited edition capsule collection featuring four handbag styles adorned in three of the artist’s custom prints in his signature soft-hued palette.

“We are honored to collaborate with an artist whose work we feel so close to,” Rachel Mansur and Floriana Gavriel said in a press release. “Our collaboration with Marc Camille Chaimowicz was conceived by a common love of color, textile, and form. We are very inspired by [his] work and his use of color and pattern felt a natural fit with our materials and clean shapes.”

Chaimowicz, who is represented by New York’s Andrew Kreps Gallery and London’s Cabinet Gallery, counts many mediums among his work, including painting, sculpture, installation, furniture, ceramics, textiles, and wallpaper. Those wallpaper designs are the inspiration for the allover prints covering each bag—the mini bucket bag, top handle rounded bag, large tote, and the moon wallet—all available in vegetable- and calf-tanned leather.

The exclusive collection launches Friday, April 26, at Liberty London’s Regent Street store and at Mansur Gavriel’s LA and New York stores, and is also available via its website. Consider your bank account warned.
