The Portland Street Art Alliance is proud to announce the launch of the Taylor Electric Project at Clay Creative, a collaborative, open-air street art gallery, on July 21st, from Noon – 10pm at 240 SE Clay St., Portland, OR, 97214. This opening will highlight the work of over 100 artists with an all-day event that will include live-painting, artist commissions, live music, local pop-ups, food carts, local beer, skateboarding ramps, a breakdancing battle and more. The opening is all ages and comes with a suggested donation of only $5.
In 2015, the beloved graffiti-nexus that was the Taylor Electric Building was demolished but is being revived as the Taylor Electric Project under the supervision and curation of the PSAA and with the support of Killian Pacific, the developers of the Clay Creative District. Through the Taylor Electric Project, the Portland Street Art Alliance seeks to revive a treasure of Portland’s Central Eastside district while nurturing a democratic, civically engaged culture of artistic expression.
